Week 37……Let them eat cake!

It’s been a busy week with hardly any time to play with Lego. The reason for the lack of time is due to there being two family birthdays this weekend.

Now there is at least 60 years between the two birthday boys, however it doesn’t mean either of them are too old for cake, lets face it, no-one can ever be too old to enjoy a cake, especially birthday cake. Right?

So I have been busy creating cakes.

The youngest of the birthday boys wanted a sports car, motor racing type of cake. So after questioning him to his exact wants I came up with a Porsche 911 cake

Sebastian can’t wait to take it for a spin

and even if it’s made from cake, all cars need a driver!

So as I was making one cake, I had to also make another cake for the other birthday boy who’ll be here to celebrate. It’s a surprise as they don’t know I’m making one, but we can hardly have a cake for one and not the other.

Which means this week I have two photos for my project, but they are both along the same cake based theme……..

so what’s the next cake creation you may ask. Well it’s not as fancy as the first, seeing as I didn’t have a lot of time left, and I still have lots to do before all the guests arrive for the weekend, but I think it has turned out alright. It seems a certain minifig seems quite happy with it too
