Week 6…….A lesson in Latin

I have had this photo in mind for a few weeks now, since series 6 hit the shelves, and I knew what delights could be found hidden inside those little foil packets.  As soon as we got our 1st Roman Soldier, I knew that this was one minifig we were going to have to have a few of.  Last Friday I decided to treat myself this time, as well as the kids with their weekly pocket money minifig. And so my feeling techniques were put to good use, and I came away with another 2 Roman Soldiers. At last my idea could be born.

Brian was a little shocked to see he had been caught out. However the Centurions only wanted to correct his grammar.

This is a recreation of a classic scene in Monty Pythons Life of Brian film, where Brian, young and rebellious, protests against the Roman occupation by painting a slogan on the wall of an important building. Meaning to say Romans Go Home, but actually reads ‘Romanes go the house’ he gets caught by a Roman Centurion. However instead of imposing justice on Brian, he receives a grammar lesson from them instead.
