For the last 9 weeks or so, I’ve been watching the ‘Great British Bake Off’. For those not in the UK or unaware, it’s the ultimate baking battle where amateur baking fans compete in a knock out competition to see who will be crowned the UK’s Best Amateur Baker.
I have to admit this is the 1st series (there have been 2 others) where I have watched every single weeks episodes. This years group of bakers have been entertaining, funny and impressive, with the creations they have had to make to stay in the competition.
Tonight is the final, so in honour of the group of contestants and the presenters I thought I’d base this weeks blog on the antics of the ‘Great British Bake Off’.
No doubt there will be ‘fridge and pray’ moments from the final 3 whilst they undergo a battery of cooking and baking challenges set for them, to see who will be crowned the winner.
As Paul Hollywood, and Mary Berry judge the offerings, Sue Perkins & Mel Giedroyc, help ease some of the tensions and James, John and Brendan, will be ‘baking their socks off’ hoping that there will be no ‘soggy bottoms’
It’s certainly inspired me. I love baking cakes and cooking, but the level these guys have gone to has been awe inspiring. Not sure what I’m going to do in the meantime, but the next series can’t come around quickly enough for me

I love cooking competition shows like that.
I like the cooking, best bit is eating it at the end
